TC (Top Control) Energy - which will be showcased at stand R41 - is installed and commissioned through Priva's Approved Partner Network. Using the web-based TC Energy program, a building manager can instantly view information about energy use within a single building or across multiple sites. Eden Project & CambridgeHOK winners at BCIA Awards

Awarded for the most innovative building controls project/installation or service (new or redeveloped) introduced onto the market within the last 12 months.

CambridgeHOK was commissioned to engineer and install a completely new control system to the Eden Project - one of the UK's largest visitor attractions. The aim was to provide a maintainable system that also helped Eden to save energy. Eden is now one of the first projects in the world to fully integrate horticultural and building control systems. This has resulted in a more comfortable environment for staff and visitors as well as substantial energy savings.

This significant product launch at NEMEX represents a new way of monitoring energy consumption, and it sets Priva apart from other building control specialists. TC (Top Control) Energy is a notable step up from the dry energy data typically provided by Measurement & Control engineering. But, unlike its competitors, TC Energy does not require the expense of installing a separate energy monitoring system or complex interface, thus bringing energy monitoring to the mainstream.

Only limited engineering required

Priva Building Management Systems are energy management ready, which means that with only limited engineering you can begin monitoring an organisation's energy use via TC Energy. Priva Compri HX Web Engine delivers the data, and then you need only activate your TC Energy web account to get started.

Convenient and user-friendly

The TC Energy web program requires no specialist training to use. Managers simply log in at the dedicated TC Energy website using a password, and can immediately start viewing simple-to-understand charts and graphs.

Real-time data on gas, electricity, water, external heat and CO2 emissions is available, and users can make year-on-year or cross-site comparisons. Tariffs and additional information from unmonitored meters can be entered manually, thus providing an even greater level of user-control, analysis and reporting.

Secure online backup

Priva uses dedicated and secure data centres, plus password encryption of the TC Energy website, which means that all information is fully protected and always accessible.

What's more, because TC Energy is a web-based, there is no need for users to make any manual updates. When new functionality is added to TC Energy, the updates are available automatically.

Priva Partners Shortlisted For Three Prestigious Awards

After scooping a hat-trick of prizes at last year's awards, Priva's employees and Partners will be hoping for more of the same at the lavish ceremony on May 10, at the St John's Hotel, in Solihull.

Priva Partner Campbell Control Services Ltd is in the running for Technical Project Innovation of the Year for its engineering expertise at Marischal College which is Aberdeen Council's new HQ.

Up for Independent Systems Installer of the Year is Priva Partner Colin Peacock Ltd - electrical engineers and control specialists - for its consistently high standards of customer delivery and business excellence.

Finally, CambridgeHOK Ltd has been short-listed for two prestigious categories: the Energy Management Award and Technical Innovation of the Year: Projects - for the implementation of a Priva BMS at the Eden Project, in Cornwall. Energy savings are already reported to be in excess of 1.4GWh.

Managing Director of Priva, Anders Norén, is naturally thrilled at the recognition.

Jan Wijgerse (Priva) Export Manager of the Year 2011

The jury report praised the way in which Jan Wijgerse has shaped export policy within Priva over the last fourteen years. During this time Priva has developed into a truly international company which was consistently able to renew itself.

In his presentation Jan Wijgerse discussed the Stepping Stone model that Priva uses to help growers a step further to develop their business.

In the final Jan Wijgerse was up against three other nominated export managers: Rick Boeijen (Xidoor B.V), Gerhard Dersjant (Movacolor B.V.) and Crijn Sprinkhuizen (Sanyo E&E Europe B.V.).
